Support us with a Legacy

Birmingham Jewish Community Care, one of the Birmingham Jewish community’s oldest established charities can trace its origins back over 100 years. An independent registered charity, it currently cares for many members of the community both young and old through its work at Andrew Cohen House, its Social Work department, Meals on Wheels and Luncheon Club.

Andrew Cohen House provides nursing care whether long term or respite for those in our community who are increasingly frail and residential care for those who can no longer manage on their own.

The Home is unique in offering ‘care for life’ and thereby security and peace of mind both to its residents and their families. It is reassuring to know that residents are able to continue to live at Andrew Cohen House for the rest of their lives regardless of their health.

Huge emphasis is placed on providing the maximum possible stimulation with a wide range of activities, outings and entertainments all of which are designed to enrich the quality of their life.

The cost of providing these services is considerable and it is well documented in the national press that funds received from local authorities fall far short of running costs.

We have never yet turned away anyone on grounds of money alone and we can only maintain that if we get donations.

By remembering Birmingham Jewish Community Care in your will, you will be helping to maintain all our services so that we will be here in the future for your own loved ones

There will always be parts of the home that are ready for a make-over, and a small legacy  will also allow us to undertake the refurbishment of a bedroom or common area.

If you need help in drawing up or changing an existing will, we can help. Contact in confidence
