At Birmingham Jewish Community Care we have a flexible approach to volunteering and are always keen to have volunteers of all ages with various skills.

    Volunteer Job Descriptions
    Meals on Wheels Drivers & Deliverers Here at Andrew Cohen House the kitchen provides a meals on wheels service to the community.

    Drivers and deliverers are always needed on a weekly basis.

    Skills required:
    • A valid driving licence
    • A warm and friendly manner
    • Evidence of insurance covering volunteering activities
    Artists, Performers & Entertainers The Birmingham Jewish Community Care provides a Luncheon Club that meets in the Aubrey & Betty Lyne’s Centre on Tuesday & Wednesday lunchtimes every week.

    If you are an entertainer either musically, artistically or can provide talks or demonstrations and would you be willing to entertain the Luncheon Club and /or the residents in Andrew Cohen House.
    Befriending & Visiting Can you spare the odd hour to visit either residents in the home or elderly people in the community to converse, play scrabble or similar and bring a smile to their face.
    Trip Guides We are always looking for helpers when we take residents and members of the community on trips.
